ISO 14001

After obtaining ISO 9000 certification for all the business processes in 2003, Selikor went for the ISO 14001 certification in 2005 and succeeded to obtain this certification. ISO 14000 is a well known international reference for environmental management requirements in business to business dealings. This encompasses what the organization does to minimize harmful effects to the environment caused by its activities, and to achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance.

The ISO 14000 family is primarily concerned with environmental management and ISO in general has earned a worldwide reputation with its generic management system standards. These standards refers to the organization's structure for managing its processes or activities that transform inputs of resources into a product or service which meet the organization's objectives, such as satisfying the customer's quality requirements, complying to regulations, or meeting environmental objectives.

ISO 14001 enables Selikor NV to meet its environmental objectives. Effectively this is another challenge for Selikor NV to make improvements to achieve its environmental goals.  Being ISO 14001 certified makes Selikor NV a role model for other local organizations to follow this process.  Once more, Selikor really takes care of our community and our environment.
