Waste that is not recycled or incinerated is responsibly disposed of in the Malpais landfill, a 45-hectare area that Selikor has operated since 1985.
Malpais landfill is a sanitary landfill operated according to modern disposal techniques to minimize pollution, odor, noise, etc.
Waste disposed of in the landfill is first compacted and then covered daily with soil in compliance with international sanitation standards.
